Immature Stages
of Gasteruptiidae
Detailed information on immature stages of Gasteruptiidae is being
acquired. However, Clausen (1940)
noted that the mature larva of Gasteruption
assectator F. Is a bit
elongated and bears bands of stout, brownish-colored setae, which are pointed
backward on the dorsum of the segments.
A fewer number of setae occur ventrally. There are 9 pairs of spiracles, which are located on the 2nd
thoracic and the first 8 abdominal segments.
Mandibles are tridentate. References: Please refer to <biology.ref.htm>, [Additional references may be found at: MELVYL Library ] |
