Early Technology and Archaic Inventions

Robert D. Morritt

“Ancient Technology” is just that, an overview of the earliest inventions and innovations to improve mankind.. The author has delved into the classical age, an offers us a look at some of the earliest technological innovations from prehistory and those emanating out of early cultures in China, Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome.

The presentation is in itself a veritable potpourri of inventions from an archaeological discovery of a prehistoric flute, early agricultural implements. Rope manufacture in Ancient Egypt, The pyramids, early batteries, water clocks, archaic pumps, military siege equipment and the work of  Erastothenes and Vitruvius .

Here is an opportunity for the history buff and those technologically inclined to view the earliest inventions, some which appear outstanding when one considers the era in which they evolved.
