        The color illustrations emphasize the adult male bird in breeding season but may also show females and immatures.  Their coloration may be duller or absent at different times of the year.  Measurements are the average length from bill to tip of tail.  Images were redrawn and or modified from originals found in the literature, with the painter or photographer of the model being noted after each file name.
