My primary areas of interest are maintenance, restoration, and management of plant communities. I am currently focused on restoration of coastal sage scrub vegetation invaded by exotic annuals. The interplay between annual domination, perennial establishment, exotic invasion, and native plant survival presents a significant challenge for scientists and land managers. I received a B.S. in conservation biology and an M.S. in botany (ecology) from Brigham Young University.
